Legislative Scorecard

By combining votes on civil liberties, non-intervention, personal freedom, government spending, and monetary policy we are able to provide a more accurate measure of who supports the liberty agenda. We can also prevent legislators from claiming support when convenient but voting the other way when they think no one is watching. We are watching and with your help - we will ensure Congress knows it.

Bill Description

This bill funded the federal government in lieu of passing a budget. It includes multi-year appropriations bills and over $1 trillion in discretionary spending and continues to spend at a deficit instead of passing a balanced budget.

Liberty for All's Position

In addition to continuing down the path of unsustainable and reckless spending, this bill allowed Congress to fund the government while abdicating their responsibility to pass a budget. It continued to delay any real effort to rein in spending and reduce the national debt. While billed as an "emergency" measure designed to prevent a government shutdown, the bill provided for multi-year appropriations and was brought to the floor without allowing amendments or extended debate, which failed to permit everyday citizens or their elected representatives to have their proper input on government funding. Liberty For All opposes efforts of Washington bureaucrats to strong arm legislation through Congress without proper debate as well as the consistent failure to address needed spending cuts thereby placing the burden of these failures on future generations.
